Many of our cabins use the central bath house at the Scandinavian Spa and do not necessarily have a bathroom inside of them. The bath house is in the center of the property, open 24/7 to guests only, and fully renovated so it’s more like a spa than a campground bathroom. Within each bathroom there is a full shower, sink, and toilet along with lockable doors. Guests end up loving the bath house as it may be the nicest building on our site.

Most cabins have kitchenettes with more cooking equipment than a hotel but less than a full kitchen. Outside of our smallest cabins, we have hot plates, coffee makers, microwaves, pots, pans, dishes, and silverware in every cabin so you should be able to cook a meal comfortably. We also have a shared grill area by the bath house.

Yes, we allow you to bring a pet in all cabins. We also try to keep our pet fee very reasonably priced. It’s currently only $25 per pet for the entire stay. Please add pets if you are bringing them so that our staff knows.

We follow local county regulations for fires and ask guest check for red flag warnings as well. Most of our cabins do not have fire pits but we do have shared propane fire pits in certain areas.

The number one thing we suggest is that guests put their phone in our cell phone lockboxes. It really makes a difference if you do it for a day or two.

We do our best to give cabins space. Our 35 acre site currently has 12 cabins so ~3 acres per cabin. We try to make sure that each cabin has about an acre to itself. We’re not like other nature hotels that pack 20 cabins into 10 acres.
-
Yes, the Salida site has 3 different Starlink wifi networks and mesh nodes in every cabin so that all guests have wifi. Cell service can be strong with Verizon on the site but otherwise is limited (just use the wifi if needed :).

THE CABINS
Custom cabins, designed for outside.
All cabins are custom architecturally designed and built for the space they sit in. In all cabins, we aim to do 3 things to bring the outside in:
As much glass as possible so that it feels like you’re outside, even when you’re in
Huge outdoor spaces (often as much deck space as cabin square footage)
Outdoor beds or built in hammocks (outdoor beds are consistent guest favorites)
When will you get outside?
(HINT: IT’S GOOD FOR YOUR HEALTH!)
When we’re in urban environments, we can experience sensory overload, resulting in tension and mental fatigue. Studies have shown that our minds and bodies relax and focus better in natural settings.
This increases feelings of pleasure and can help us concentrate and focus more effectively, reduces cortisol, and lowers both heart rate and blood pressure according to studies in the National Library of Medicine. Maybe plan some time outside?
